Sime customers did treat Isabella nice but they frightened her with the way they watched her.

Florence kissed June one last time.
June smiled into the kiss for only a moment then pushed him back, "You must go... It's still morning and that won't last long here."

Florence backed up and sighed again, "bye, love." he turned around and started walking.
